“You wouldn’t be in the way Spencer. I have a three bathroom two bedroom apartment. The second one is my guest bedroom slash office sort of ordeal. It’s got its own bathroom and everything.” At his words the shorter woman frowned. “Reid this isn’t your fault. You know that. Nothing could’ve stopped this from happening, no change of words, actions, none. Don’t blame it on yourself.” She rationalized as they walked back out.
As JJ and Morgan did questioning, Elle decided to do some research, figuring out what information was readily available about Spencer, to see the general things that this stalker could possibly know about him. Most of it was his scholarly position in the FBI, his edetic memory, his IQ and his impossible quick reading skill. It was true that Spencer was a spectacle to any normal person. She had remembered when she first met the male. He’d rambled off facts to her after simply asking how he was. It made her grin at the memory, continuing to do her background. Garcia came running in, looking at Elle. When she had asked if Elle had a dog she raised her eyebrow. “Yes, Penelope you know that. Why does that matter?” She was quite confused to the blonde’s question, only to see a photo in her hand. “What’s that?” Elle’s eyes widened as she showed it to her. “Why do you have a photo of Molly?” She asked, only for the other to explain that it was faxed to her. Elle took a deep breath in, taking the photo and quickly discarding it into her paper shredder. “It’s irrelevant. She’s with my parents, and I don’t have a fax machine at my apartment, my mom probably sent it.” She waved it off, hushing Garcia when she suggested it being applicable to the case. “This guy isn’t interested in me. It’s about Spencer.” She explained as the male returned.
The three traveled to the impending apartment, Spencer beginning to explain. “Have you got an alarm system? They clearly know you’re in the FBI and with the BAU, so they have to follow cases in order to know when you’re not here. Or at least office hours.” Emily offered. Elle nodded, walking around and not seeing anything really out of place. It was when she entered his bedroom that she was intrigued. “Spencer, how long has the lock on this window been busted?” She asked, messing with the jammed device.
Spencer shook his head, looking towards the door. “Im not good with technology and I dont want to have strangers in here setting up things. Theres a security device tied to the door but thats all.” He said, turning in his seat to watch Prentiss walk around the room, telling her about some of the things she looked over. First editions, trinkets from his travels. Things he valued very highly.
He looked up when Elle called from his bedroom, getting up to go and stand beside her. “Thats... New but... I dont know, this building is old, the locks and everything are old” He said, reaching out to touch the lock, his brow furrowing slightly. He looked over to his bed and shuddered slightly “I dont like this.” He murmured, running a hand through his hair and looking over to Elle. “I think... I might come to your place, if thats alright” He said, looking back around his apartment. He loved this place. It was a safe place for him to be after everything that they saw. It was a place that he felt comfortable and as if nothing could touch him but now something had and he wanted out.
