Spellbound Sentinels of the HPA

Accio books 2015 is finally over (somewhat)!

After almost 2 months our chapter has raised over 3500 books!

We have a few more books coming in but other than that we’re completely done collecting for this year’s campaign.

This year was our chapter’s first Accio Books and as of now we have more than 1000 more books than the #1 chapter on the leaderboards (Sorry Rocky Mountain Muggles!). Soon I’ll log the books officially and we’ll have more than the 25 points we have right now.

It’s been almost a month since our last update, but we have good news!

We’re nearing the end of the Accio Books! campaign, and we’re almost done collecting books. As of today our complete total number of books is:

Again we want to thank everyone who has helped us this year, Raven Books, Epic Books, Darkstar Books, and Global Impact STEM Academy are our largest donors this year.

Our class-competition book drive at GI has officially ended, and raised a total of 2538 books (27 of which are Harry Potter books wow!). Special thanks to Mr. Levingston and his Class for winning the competition with a total of 718 books!

As you know our chapter is participating in the 2015 Accio Books! campaign. So far we have collected a massive amount of books, but so far we’ve only had estimates to tell you all.

Well now we have an official, concrete number!

The Spellbound Sentinels of the HPA have collected:

We want to thank Global Impact STEM Academy for allowing us to hold a book drive on their campus in the form of a class competition, as well as Raven Books and Epic Books, both of which donated books to our chapters campaign this year!

We’re still collecting books, but this is how many we have so far.

This Sunday (April 26) at 2:00 PM EST I, along with other members from our chapter (possibly but not necessarily including coldheartkawaii agxntcartxr and the-new-luna) will be joining in the chatroom for a great time!

Accio Books! 2015 Pictures!

After our first week of competition at Global Impact STEM Academy we've collected a TON! of books. These are only the books we've gotten from students at the school, we still have more from our book store sponsors like Raven Books or Epic Books.

There are still three weeks left in our competition, and we’re looking forward to those weeks excitedly. We can’t thank Global Impact enough for letting us hold our book drive on their campus.

We've planned a meeting to count all the books we have so far, and as soon as that’s goes down we’ll post an update on our official book count so far!

Sidenote: We have yet to count the books exactly (we have them separated by class, just not counted) however, I have counted the number of Harry Potter books we have. We’re already up to 18 of them. 18! That’s not just like 18 of the first book, we have the entire series 2 times already!

A 7 Step guide to making book drive bins!

Last weekend we got together and made the book drive bins for our Accio Books! campaign this year! We spent easily 6 hours cutting out all the labels and painting all our boxes.

We’re currently hosting a book drive in the form of a competition between classes at our school. After doing this last weekend we’ve started the competition and gathered an AMAZING number of books! Update on that soon.

They donated an estimated 300 books to our Accio Books! 2015 book drive! (We have yet to count the exact number of books. We’ll update you as soon as we do)

We are currently working with GI by hosting the majority of our Accio Books! Drive on their campus

The Spellbound Sentinels will be participating in the 2015 Accio Books! We've already started collecting books, and we’re working to partner with some local schools and organizations to set up collection sites.

We also have some Accio Books oriented events in the works, but more on that to come!

We are the Spellbound Sentinels, a chapter of the amazing Harry Potter Alliance! We’re located in Springfield Ohio, and only have three members so far, but we’re slowly growing and increasing the awesome of our small town
