Whispers in the Shadows

the R+ fanfic is coming along nicely. I haven't written much or had time to work on it due to the heat, saving my writing times for the early mornings when it's cooler to work (between 2-5 AM), but I'm loving how it's turning out so far.

after close to six years of not writing a damn thing fanfic related, I've officially returned to the space! Work and other things got in the way of sitting down to focus, but now that I have time to get stuff done that I want to do, I'm finally excited! This one is going to be a slow burn of sorts set in autumn where my OC and the R+ boys spend time in a cabin surrounded by nature.

Well it's that time of year again! Superbowl weekend! I'm still a bit miffed the Bills aren't in it, but I'm hoping next year will be different. I might watch it, but it all depends on how I'm feeling.

Yes. I have a cold yet again. First cold in 2025 after missing November and December. For the most part I feel okay, just general stuffiness and a cough, but nothing else major. The last two days I knew something wasn't right when I was super cold underneath blankets, but that seems to have gone away thankfully. I think I must have got it when I was at the local library where kids don't know how to sneeze into their arms or their parents not keeping the little rats at home so they aren't infecting others around them!

It hasn't been a total lost cause, however. I've been able to get some writing done. and what's better than projecting your cold onto characters in order to make them suffer while you're doing the same? Especially when one of them is in December 1912 with no access to modern medicine... What will happen next? Will he survive and get back to reality safely or will something drastic occur that changes his life as he knows it forever?

Anyway, that sounds like a fever dream writing, and I'm already past that point!

We do have snow here, which is amazing. It's been a relatively mild winter, so to wake up and see snow outside the window is quite lovely. If the damned snowplows could stfu at night that would be great as well, but I understand they have a job to do. If only they could do it quieter and not scrape the bare pavement.. yeah I don't think that will happen, but it's something to wish for.

This is beginning to look like an essay so I will stop here for now. Let me know if you're interested in a snippet of the story and I will post it! For now I'm going to go have a shower before continuing to torment my characters...

*continues to daydream about Kuba and his epic hips while ignoring other responsibilities piling up behind me*
