Mmy very good circus

I have a lot of big and small joys that make living well worth it, but gosh I feel awful.

I get anxious at the thought of making them real but I also get anxious the longer I wait because I don't know how much time they'll take or what other ideas I might need to scrap this season to make them work. Genuinely makes it hard to fall asleep sometimes ehehe </3 </3

Here's my final team and the route I ended up taking :)

VERY HONORABLE MENTION to Lovely the Lycanroc who I had for most of my playthrough before letting her retire so I could use the shiny noibat I caught.

I was underleveled when I fought Clavell and we both ended up getting down to one pokemon. Lovely was my very last bet and she was only one hit away from fainting... I figured she would outspeed despite the level difference, so I gambled on terastalizing and using Rock Slide to hopefully ohko the Skeledirge. In fact, Lovely did outspeed, but a single Rock Slide wasn't enough...! I thought I'd blundered for sure until the Skeledirge FLINCHED. And then a second Rock Slide finished the job. IT WAS SO LUCKY AND LOVELY WAS SO COOL. I considered that her last shining moment before she went to the box <3

Careless carried me through the most battles overall, I'd say! Acrobatics was a little too powerful for how early I got it... xD

Double power for no held item makes sense as a competitive restriction I think, but in a casual playthrough you're probably not using many held items anyway, so... yeahfdbd it's a little much X)

Acrobatics wasn't the only wonderful thing about Careless though... When I took on the Iron Treads as my third titan, it wiped nearly my whole team, and I was about ready to accept defeat and come back later. But then when it attacked Careless, not only did Careless survive but his Flame Body activated!! So I was able to stall with potions while the burn took care of the titan. It was awesome X)

Then Arven came in and I saw his pokemon was level FORTY-FOUR. Careless was only thirty-three ;w;

Overall thoughts on the game... It was super fun!! I absolutely adored the openness of it even though I was underleveled for a lot of important battles (especially the star battles... eughghg)

The story was sweet <3 I love Nemona and Arven and Penny whah...

THEY TOOK DUST TO AREA ZERO?!?!

I mean it's probably not literally Area Zero but. The place she woke up is definitely based on it. Blue stone cave walls and shining rainbow crystals...

Scout is so fun and sweet and silly and such a bundle of joy, it's... striking. To see someone like that get so overtaken by sadness. To see xem break down from guilt and exhaustion. To see xem look like they're too tired to feel anything anymore.

I guess their highs are so high, it's easy to overlook how low their lows can be. In a fairer world, you might have never known there was another side to them at all.

They make you laugh, they let you feel loved, they step up at any chance they get to help you or brighten your day. But they're not immune. They feel sorrow as heavily as anyone else's, and they aren't good at dealing with it either. They fall for their own cruel lies and hide their every struggle, just as you might. It's... very real.

And she thinks she should be immune. She thinks there's some way it must be possible. She thinks she has to be. But that could never be true. Heroes aren't perfect or special; they're just the ones that keep trying.

You can be so silly and so sad, and it means so much to me that Home's Gift shows this so unabashedly. Scout's wide range of expression and extreme states of being are one of the biggest reasons why I love star so much.

Tried using my drawing tablet and my wrist hurts just from doing these. It took me longer than usual, too. I don't think I'm going to be adjusted to using a stylus before artfight X(

I must be doing something horribly wrong with the stylus because like. With a mouse I can draw tons for weeks on end and my wrist doesn't even feel it. But just half an hour with a tablet and it destroys me?? How what why huh???

Ougghh I'm gonna have to like... look into drawing posture and stuff... and practice the motions to make sure I'm not hurting myself because APPARENTLY that's way easier to do than I thought?!

Definitely going to be a long adjustment, but apparently tablet is way better once you get used to it, so... I won't give up! Definitely not figuring it out before artfight though xD

I got the idea to make Buizel use Soak to turn her Pawmi into a water type so it'd be extra weak to Icarus' grass moves, but uhh... Nemona terastalized the Pawmi and I think that caused Soak to fail? Then my Buizel got one-shotted. Spectacular failure xD

Also my second pokemon is a HOPPIP YAYAY!! SO CUTES >:DD

My sister borrowed it from the library X) it's not really the best timing for me, since I wanted to spend more time preparing for Artfight and stuff. But if I waited until after Artfight then we would have returned the game by then, so this is my one shot! I'll make my time work out somehow, I suppose...!
