Steven looked up at pearl with happy eyes, "pearl that mission was so fun! Imagine garnet-" Suddenly pearl let go of Steven's hand, expression replaced with pure horror and terror, "Steven." The last words she said before turning into a 2d flag her limbs crunching (if they could do that) her face turning horrified and distorted, reaching out to Steven with her last hand before it dissipated, Steven backed away falling backwards before sitting up to run towards pearl who was now a flag pole with a flag, he yelled out in horror "Pearl...?!" He grabbed the flag part of the flag, trying to find her gemstone but all he found was nothing but flag... H-how could thisnhappen?! How could she just turn into a flag? This isn't how gems functioned. Steven cried trying everything using his healing powers, his spit, evrything he could do, non of it worked pearl was just cheap flag material now not alive. It started to rain the sky was already dark and before it started to rain all Steven could hear was the clouds rubbing and the sound of pearls flag moving in the wind, the it started to rain but all of it muffled his crying, him holding pearl flag close to him screaming out into the sky "No pearl! Come back.. please!"
