Ah, a portrait session. Gotta be more comfortable than a life drawing session, right? Wrong!

A friend of mine put this status up on social media, and has kindly allowed me to share it. This is why I do it. This is why I sit there, all cold with pins and needles. This is why I suffer for their art 😉

When the village hall that you’re working at has filled your dressing room with the props for their Christmas play!

What starts off as a simple ‘how about I sit on the floor and lean on the chair?’ becomes part engineering feat, part jumble sale to stop the chair sliding across the floor!

When the community centre treats you to plush toilet rolls to make up for the fact that the toilet seat is so cold, peeing makes you want to cry
