I hate that anti-ship means what it does. in my many many years on tumblr i used to be concern trolled frequently because i used to be very meek and unthinking when it came to that kinda stuff and i would just accept anything people told me if they used the right tone of voice because i thought i didn’t have a choice otherwise. ANYWAY! now that im an old cranky mean bitch i look back on that era and laugh both because i was being dumb and because some of the bullshit being sold to me as 100% A Real Concern was absolutely mind boggling. but my favorite one to think about was that someone told me that the reason we were seeing “so many” asexual characters in media recently was because an Asexual Lobby was sending moles into writers rooms and when the idea of a queer character was brought up, the Asexual Lobby Mole would buy the rights to making that character 100% asexual. and even as a dumbass 20 something i was like you know i don’t think they’re doing that
