Song of the day 11th August
Scythian Empire if a playful wind ever sang, it would sing like scythian empire
Andrew Bird’s Scythian Empire I am listening to it today after several years. And it sounds like it has grown up in rhythm and poise. Like it had the opposite of sex all this while. opposite of sex could be abandonment and loneliness. Like the absence created meaning tied with the emptiness. Andrew Bird has a voice to fill up stadiums. But here his drones sermonise a sort of a credits-rolling effect. The film has ended and the audience needs something to be stunned by. The director perfectly places in this song with all of its obscure timing.
My mac just said its one hour. One AM. 11th August. It is a friend’s birthday. Oh wait, we are not friends anymore. Won’t wish him. Scythian Empire - work of art, work of man
