This one was a bit challenging for me, but I think it came out ok in the end! The Queen Bee-tle herself 🫶 There wasn't a lot of room to type out lore on the sheet, but some other details:
-Cleo died at 16, and Nefera died at 19
-They weren't royals, just very corrupt upper class
-The whole family died at the same time, murdered for their actions (justified) but given proper burials by extended family.
-The mummies spend a lot of time just sleeping in their tombs. Cleo plans to sleep some more for a few hundred years once her current mortal friends and lovers all die (she figures she'll see the immortal ones again at some point anyway). It helps mummies not go insane with grief.
-The royalty/ruling/being worshipped thing is more of a complex the de Niles have than an actual social class they inhabit, past or current. However, Cleo's father does do business with other older monsters to maintain and grow their wealth and status. So as far as riches go, she practically is a princess.
-Hissette is a gift from Deuce. He removed one of the snakes from his head, and transformed it into an immortal being. She was the first pet Cleo ever had that wouldn't die on her. So she loves her more than anything else in the world, and spoils her rotten.
-Cleo and Deuce both consider Hissette to be their daughter, even though she really is effectively a pet
-Cleo can control snakes, but she never controls Deuce. And she only ever controls Hissette if she's in danger and can't reach her in time (which never really happens bc Hissette is super co-dependent, and even if she's even more of a brat/diva than Cleo, she still likes to stick close to her source of security (her mummy, lol))
-Hissette's venom can turn people into stone
-Oh yeah duh also Cleo and Nefera de Nile aren't their first/real names. Personas, really.
