This update to the picture came to me because I had a friend do a doodle of this character and showed them the previous picture and managed to get the wrong characterization from the picture which was definitely a problem on my end - so I decided to work on that~!

I-I’m a little embarrassed to say it but this was the third iteration of this character’s pose pic.  But for sure I’m absolutely satisfied with this design and... I’m happy it looks great~!

Bernie as a mermaid~! The coelacanth being such a strange an exoctic fish seemed to line up with the fact that Bernie loves the strange, exotic plants was just too perfect. Someone on twitter pointed out to me that that kind of fish like to hide and recluse, funnily enough. I got lucky, it looks like~ <3
