five hargreeves really is The character. he saw his family die multiple times, he constantly has people trying to kill him, he commits many degrees of murder, he's married to mannequin, he's fifty eight stuck in the body of his thirteen year old and isn't that just something considering the cause of the most traumatic moment in his life was because of a decision made by his thirteen year old self, he survived the apocalypse, i could go on. they really put this guy in a blender and chose puree mode.
