She hummed softly — something between a song from her childhood and the timeless melody of peace that came with motherhood as full of love as hers. From your spot by the door, you smiled, calling her in a low voice.
“Bedtime?”
You held out your hand for her, a small offering; it was time for your home to sleep, peaceful and tranquil.
“Shall your dreams be sweet, Dami,” she whispered to her son, and with a kiss to the top of his head, Talia blessed his sleep. She followed you out of his nursery, her hand in yours, ready to finally rest, too.
In his little crib, Damian dreamed of the universe, flying through the cosmos like the birds above him.
