since this information sheet is pretty overwhelming, i thought i’d give a quick summary about krona!
if you have additional questions not on the information sheet, or just can’t be bothered to read through all that, you’re more than welcome to send asks! kronians are an open species, so you don’t have to ask permission to make one! i just ask that you at least credit my idea if you post about them publicly :-)
krona is a planet of my creation! it’s earth-like in nature, being an oxygen-rich planet inhabited by a bipedal race, but it’s more akin to an earth 300 millions years ago than to today.
it’s largely covered in thick redwood forests, with trees reaching miles into the sky. despite the seemingly impenetrable coverage, the constant shower of rain is heavy enough to pierce through the trees and reach the ground. territorial and often bloodthirsty megafauna roam its surface. flora ranges in color from blue-green to pink, only deepening the eerie darkness of the woods.
cities are built over centuries, expanding for miles and miles and miles. their centers are the only places you’ll see ever sky, and only if it’s large enough. usually compromised of three rings around the city center and a sector of slums almost the size of the inner-rings combined, the government ensures that their citizens stay happy and unaware of the rampant corruption within.
the rebellion fights desperately for change, but it’s too spread out to coordinate between cities. young kronians join in hopes to help, but become trapped in an endless cycle of fighting and death that reaps little to no reward.
the kronian people are small compared to their environment, but stand them next to an average human and they’re anything but. built to last on a planet that’s out to get them, their skin is tough, and blue to blend in. their teeth are sharp, and their eyes can see through the thick fog that usually coats the forest floor.
in the safety of the inner-cities, there isn’t much to fear. but the closer you get to the woods, the more likely you are to be swept away—whether it’s in a desperate fight for freedom and justice or at a dead-end surrounded by bloodthirsty beasts is up to you.
KRONIAN OCS ON THIS BLOG:
kris: a plucky member of anelade’s rebellion. kind-hearted on the surface, but cause problems for him and he has no qualms with getting violent.
kr’iia: an adventurous and soft-spoken person who lives in the forest just outside of anelade.
au’ri’elle: a kronian diplomat that moonlights as an inside-eye for anelade’s rebellion. she’s kind, but scheming.
lu-xi: an upper-class high-schooler going through a rebellious phase. they’re genuine, but it usually gets them in trouble.
X: a popular underground musician, angry at the world. they’re known for their anonymity and pro-rebellion standpoint.
aza’yé: a beast hunter forced to put his journey to mastery on hold as he recovers from life-changing injuries. he’s bitter, but always willing to offer a helping hand.

hey, kris! i know this question sounds a little threatening but it's not meant to be! just curious: if you knew that today was your last day alive/in your current life, what would you do? like, if you knew tomorrow you were either going to die or be sent really far away with all connections to your current life severed.
kris [laughing nervously]: what the fuck
kris: um, i guess... well, this is gonna be kinda sad. i already live like that, basically. assuming each day is my last.
kris [he waves his hands and laughs a little sheepishly]: i mean, not everyday! but... kinda...? whenever we’re sent out into the woods for anything—a supply run or retrieval or whatever—you’re... i mean, you’re basically walking into your own grave, yknow?
kris: and given the uh, everything, about how i look [he gestures to himself] it’s pretty common i get targeted by the cops or whatever.
kris: so i guess... i just try to live without any regrets. it can get pretty hard, but... what else can you do?

If your character had to pick one person as their role model, who would it be and why? What do they admire in this person? How has this role model affected their life and actions?
i couldn’t choose only one oc 💀 so i did two lol. under the cut so i don’t clog your dash!
KRIS:
who is their role model? a man named korru! i havent talked about him on this blog except in passing, but he’s a pretty big part of kris’ life. korru runs a restaurant in the fourth ring that’s known for its good food and decent prices. he’s a big guy with a big heart.
why do they admire them? korru is one of the people who picked kris off his feet when he was kicked out. he (kris) kind of migrated to the slums, since there’s some pretty harsh anti-homeless policing in the inner-rings, and korru isn’t the kinda guy that’s gonna see a hungry kid on the street and not give him a warm meal.
how has this person affected their life and actions? surprisingly, not much. at least at first. of course kris really admires korru, but their lives are so different that there aren’t too many instances in which he’s done anything groundbreaking other than give kris good life advice or yell at him when he starts beating himself up. as the years drag on, though, and the rebellion makes little to no progress, kris starts wishing he had a life similar to korru’s. he gets tired of fighting, and wants a place where he can settle down with someone and just be safe. i think if he didn’t know korru, he might just work himself to death lol.
EKO:
who is their role model? his older brother, kole! again, havent mentioned him much unless in passing. kole runs a tattoo parlor with his partner, and though he acts pretty mean, it’s mostly in jest. he’s a tough love kinda guy.
why do they admire them? eko really admires his worth ethic and how strong he is for basically raising their family on his own. i wouldn’t say kole’s tattoo parlor is five stars or even very well-known, but it’s successful. all of it was built from the ground up.
how has this person affected their life and actions? because of kole, eko really wants to be someone people can rely on. i think that’s partially why he’s such a casual, open guy, but honestly eko has always been like that. he’s got a tendency to stretch himself thin relationship-wise, though, and as a result doesn’t have many people outside of his family that really, seriously rely on him.

kr’iia: i’m doing ok...! i haven’t been working much lately, because the weather has been bad, so i get to go out more often... i’ve been having lots of fun exploring.
kr’iia: ...... plus, my parents are out in the city, so i don’t have to follow... their rules...

aza’yé: back into the forest. i don’t care about anywhere in particular, as long as it’s nowhere near the city. i’ve had enough of all the noise.
aza’yé: ... besides, city-folk tend not to like me. i’ve been here for almost a year, and i’ve never felt welcome. i’m just taking up space, at this rate.
