That being said! I absolutely love transfem Jax. I know there is a lot of controversy around her, especially in regards to representation and what seems to be the complete plot switch to have the last episode focus damn near solely on her. That's not what I'm going to be talking about. I love mtf Jax for a lot of reasons, one of which being that actually think she is good representation for what she's meant to be. She's not a good person, she is downright awful too almost everyone around her, and almost all of her negative and cruel actions derived from the way she grew up and her own internalized self-hatred. I am not at all excusing her actions, I have just known a lot of women like this. Her character makes sense in my opinion, she is a reflection of a very negative experience that I've seen quite a few people fall into.

By no means am I saying all trans women are like this, many of the trans women in my life are the most amazing people I have ever met. I have just also met quite a few that have narrowly avoided this downfall or have fallen into it. Jax is not a good person, but being a bad person does not mean bad representation. There are bad people of every kind, I think exploring a route in which the denial of a queer identity leads to such extreme self-hatred that you become some kind of incel hate-bast is a really good story. The biggest problem here is that that wasn't the story The Amazing digital circus was setting up to tell.
