yes yes 40k's grimdark setting has its themes and such but unfortunatly its very hard to not fall for the super humans in cool armor constantly yelling "FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!" and pay attention to that

seeing a space marine without his helmet is like. bro. put that thing back on you are losing AURA

May I recommend the YouTuber “The Amber King”? He’s got a 4 hour video…let’s call it “audio play adaptation” of Dante of the Blood Angels. (Essentially, got some voice actors to speak lines from parts across many books with this character, connected by a third person narration/summary of events between those segments.

And he has those sorts of videos for dozens of characters. From many a Space Marine Chapter, Primarch, Members of the Imperium, a 2 hour summation of the Horus Heresy, and even Xenos factions like Commander Farsight of the Tau, or everyone’s favorite hoarder of everyone else’s stuff, The Necron Trazyn the Infinite.

to be fair im barely scratching the 40k surface and still dont even know anything about the t'au either LOL though i have seen the dinosaur riders which is really fucking cool

unfortunatly im basic though and not immune to the hype moments and aura of space marines (on both sides tbh) and the dragon on the salamanders' shoulder pads is also peak

... god i fucking love space marines man... so cool... so damn cool....

being very casual and chill about getting into warhammer 40k is really fun like im seeing tweets of the fans tearing eachother apart meanwhile im here like "i like the salamander, theyre neat ☺️☺️☺️"
