Poetry from my soul

There is no shame in not knowing your place.

You can only affect what's within arm's reach.

I guess I knew all along, deep down, that things would never be right.

I always gave up on everything, and thought I could be better, this time.

At least I know, now, that I CAN hold on with all of my might.

I wish I could have held on to you

Why else would I make this change

It's like you're already someone new

Peace and quiet, I adore

Up until I'm by myself

I think of you,

and everything else fades out of view

And I think maybe if I try some time (at least one time)

Beads of sweat, rays of sun,

Feelings long since on the run

Where they'll go, I won't know,

A poem a day

Keeps the heartbreak away

Or provides, at the least,
