Everything I hoped for.

Everything I tried,

I burn every time I see, every time I hear, every time I touch.

I burn with the strength of a thousand suns.

I burn like a star.

I burn like wildfire, pure, bright, cleansing.

But a lot of people are afraid of fire.

Afraid to burn with me and reach a new height, a new level of brightness.

So few come to gather around the fire, just close enough to keep them warm.

But never too far, in fear that I could swallow them whole.

So I burn, distant.

Sometimes big, sometimes small.

Enduring storms, winter, and floods.

Waiting.
