So I’d rather lose on a few more cans of food then have us be put in danger due to your inability to currently distinguish things from each other. Rest, lay down for a while. Fair enough. Decent compromise, because it meant they wouldn’t be wasting too much time, just enough to let him recover, really get back to rights again. He nodded, reaching out for the emptied pack to ball it up into a makeshift pillow.

“Alright. Better not eat all the M&M’s outta the trail mix though.” He’d brought that back, hadn’t he? Or had she made some joke about concocting it from their packs of dried fruit? Couldn’t think straight enough to sort that one out, so Shane eased down onto his back, stuffing the pack under his head.
