Alice & Peter chemistry on screen + Fans that noticed it = Jeresa !!

Well well well looks like I organize myself well enough to be able to watch the episode almost live ! Seems like my fav TV show can be a really good motivation : I wraped up my work in no time. Anyway, here are my reactions straight to the episode. I need time to process everything that happened, I think I’ll rewatch it in a couple of days. 

I’ve never been so stressed about one episode ! My heart was beating so fast, my hands were cold and wet haha, I’m way to involved in this

With no mentions in the previouslies and neither in the cast ... maybe James belongs to the deleted scene ?! 

YEs ! Oksana comes back. This new deal with the Russians seems scary. I remember Camila saying “I don’t deal with the Russians”, I guess there was a good reason for that. But I get the point of Teresa though 

Alfonso Herrera was very very good in this episode. I loved all his scenes. I could feel his pain. 

Marcel scared me ! 

The Judge got what he deserves. Too bad for his son though. It crossed my mind maybe his son would have killed him. But I think we are not done with him. He is very powerful.

I loved the scene when Javier told Teresa about Rene and Emilia. So good actors ! And One mention about James, out of the blue, one ! 

I told you Javier will be out. Well Dead. But What a scene !! Loyal to Teresa till the end, being his soldier. I was litterally screaming of joy in front of my screen. But ugh being burnt alive... my god this is harsh. 

Eddie... really ? I saw it was already 5 minutes before the hand and I confess that my hope for James were going down... Even though I had seen the promo pictures. But wow, how she tells him the truth. First time she says this, first time we here it, was kind of a big moment I think. I don't know if it was a smart move. But I'm not sure Eddie is more than a piano player so maybe it's just the only way to keep him far from her.

28 sec and finally PG is back ! Well no surprise effect here for me but glad to see his pretty face again.

Yeees !! A full Jeresa season is coming, I can feel it 😂

Here are all my personal theories about what is going to happen for all the characters at the end of s4. Yes, I know, I don’t want that to happen either but everyone deserves a break, right ? 

So, let’s go : 

Javier : Something tells me that it’s going bad for him. All those secrets he kept from Teresa are going to go right back in his face. The truth always comes up and my guess is it will be dirty. I don’t know if he will die but Tony is dead because of him... maybe the Judge will have his revenge and Teresa won’t go against it... i’m sur the “I could’ve protected you, but now I can’t” is for him. So Javier... out. 

Boaz : The guy is running Miami now. I think there will not be other things for him. For now he is loyal to Teresa, and my guess is they will stick to that... for now. 

Dumas : Did I tell you I love this character ? It will be a blast that Teresa ask Marcel to run NOLA for her. I think it’s the most logical thing that can happen. 

Judge : dead, dead, dead. Please ! 

Detective Green : dead dead dead. Or... he is such a lame guy that he will pledge allegiance to Teresa in order not to die. Don’t know. But I don’t really like this vilain anyway. 

James : Back back back back and back again ! Hopefully he will be one of the main character in s5.

Kelly Anne : hmmm. Now that Teresa forgave her, I guess she will stick around too. Plus, she is the only other important female character this season. If Roksana and Castel are not in the picture in s5, better be at least KA ! I hope it will be for more than just her romance with Pote, she deserves a more important place in the show.

Eddie : Out. 

George : My other fav male character (out of James), I really love the good feelings he brings to the show. I hope he will be around. Now that he has things to do in Belize, my guess is he will still be a guest in some episodes. He is a pirate, he belongs to the sea.

Castel : I hope she will be part of the plot in s5. Not sure we will see her in the Finale but with James back, she and Devon should be, at the very least, mentioned right ? James knows she is an asset for the CIA, hopefully he will tell to Teresa. My guess is s5 plot will be all around The Queen vs CIA.

Pote & Teresa : this is the only thing we are sure of : the will keep on kicking asses together <3

“I don't think s3!james lost his s1 and s2 aura. I loved watching him be Teresa's right hand the way he was Camila's in s1&2. He is skilled and also extremely smart and that was further portrayed at the end of  s3 with the mole plot/CIA reveal. I think he continues to be one of the most interesting character throughout the show I'm beyond happy knowing he's coming back, hopefully along with the CIA plot don't think s3!james lost his s1 and s2 aura. And I  also loved him being Teresa’s right hand. But, idk, I loved s3 but I felt like there was a switch in his character. Maybe because he was more soft with Teresa ? Not sure I can express it properly though. It’s just a feeling I have. 

So I’ve been reading a lot about Qots lately. Like every morning, my new routine is to catch up with what happened on Twitter, on Tumblr and on Youtube about Queen Of The South. I love reading the thoughts of all the fandom mostly when it comes to Jeresa. It’s kind of cute how people (like me) are attached to those two characters. 

Even if most of people want James to come back -it’s just crazy how, out of the blue, people are compulsively asking “where is James” to everyone, everywhere- some other are pretty convinced James should not come back. They say that the show “don’t need him”, that “Teresa don’t need him”. I even read that James’ character is no longer interesting for the plot. Well, if you don’t mind, I would like to tell yall what i’m thinking about James’ return and what he is giving to Teresa and the show in general.

A TV show without a love story, is not a good TV show.

A TV show without love story ? Come on. It never happens. Or it’s not a good one. When we follow the life of one person during so many years, of course we need a little bit of romance. Seriously, that’s what make us keep watching. Ok we like the drama, the action, all the plots but hey, sex, love & drama needs to be part of it just because it’s also part of our live. 

The more we identify to characters, the more we want to know what will happen to them. And in order to make people (girls) identify themselves to Teresa, we need female emporwement, but we also need love. Because love runs the world. Seriously, it’s the only thing we can talk about for hours.

So okay, the Jeresa romance is not the point of this TV show, but there is love matter in every people lives. So if storyliners want us to buy the story, they need to put love inside. Plus, Teresa’s life is not an ordinary life, the romance she can have in the show makes her life more normal. You know what I mean ? 

Also, James/Jeresa is the balance with the very violent world they show us. We can endure pain, murder, drug cartel shit, it’s thrilling and stuff but we need a little bit of love to be hooked. 

And when I talk about love, I mean real love, the one that is built step by step, the one we can feel the energy growing from one episode to another. Not the one that comes from nowhere “comme un cheveu sur la soupe”, i mean not a Eddy/Teresa kind of love... ahem.

We need sexy

I think everyone can agree on this one : Peter Gadiot is hot. James is so hot. We all want to see more of his muscles, beard and stuff. Sexyness is always welcome in a show right ? 

Yeah ok, Javier is not too bad to look at either but...idk... not the same kind of sexy. 

He gives Teresa an aura

Teresa has Pote to take care of her in a practical way. James is here to take care of her in a more intimate way. He is no longer her mentor, he is her partner (even if she said that he was working FOR her, we know what it is really) and they make a helluva team together. It’s like nothing can take them down, he has the experience, she has the empathy and the smart eye.

That being said, I agree that even if he missed me a lot during s4, James was not essential to the plot. I felt like he would have been a pleasure to see him and Teresa together against the Evil Judge and all the other bad guys but i have to admit that Teresa did well without him. The story is about her, not about James and as she evolves, she loses people on the way. We’ve seen this with a lot of beloved characters but unfortunately, I have to admit that James could be just one of those. 

During s1 and 2 he was essential, because he was kind of her mentor. She learned a lot with him. And if it was not for the romance story line, James was not as necessary in the third season. I even told myself that Peter Gadiot’s character was not as interesting nor thriving the screen during s3 as he was the two years before. 

Don’t make it wrong, I love his character, and there is very good episodes with him but generally speaking I thought that he lost the aura he had during s1 and 2. 

But anyway, i’m thrilled about his return and i really hope that the storyliners have something big prepared for him. I hope James will irradiate the screen by his presence alongside with Teresa. In fact, I think James, his devotion and love emphasize Teresa.
