The collaborative project that consumed my life entirely by accident and became by far one of the best fandom experiences that I've ever had. It was quite a Journey!

Actual story, following up right after their first night together. And Remus continues to be very relatable!😅

Also, a little backstory that we definitely planned from the very beginning and absolutely didn't just make up now:

Remus stole the pink mug from his first publisher as petty revenge against his editor, Dolores Umbridge. She had it out for him from the start, making him rewrite sections over and over again. His debut novel (a magical realism story that used werewolves as a metaphor for class and disability) didn't sit well with the conservative, pro-government Umbridge. She insisted that he rewrite the entire thing as a romantasy instead. Remus refused. In retaliation, Umbridge made sure the book's release was as low-key as possible, with virtually no advertising. She even changed the cover to resemble a cheesy YA romance, practically guaranteeing that readers' expectations wouldn't match the actual story. The novel was doomed to be a major financial flop.

Sirius has been celibate for a while (he took staying sober way too seriously), and because he was still in a very different headspace following the disaster date setup, he was initially quite reluctant to actively join. James and Remus eventually managed to convince him. Best 15 minutes.😏

I had a trip to Japan and my long flights made me thinking, which resulted in this. I especially like Remus' face, cause it's not clear whether he's uncomfortable because he is squeezed by the others, he's afraid of flying or he's trying to hide a boner... Probably a combination of these😅 He's mentally writing a story about them joining the mile high club to disctract himself:

While James was away, he realized he was one of the main characters in Remus’ stories. Reading them made him understand that his feelings for Sirius had not faded, if anything, they had only grown stronger. As soon as he returned to the city, he knew he needed to talk to Remus. At the same time, Sirius had started feeling increasingly guilty about the possibility of ruining James and Remus’ relationship. He decided he would keep his distance and sent Remus a message saying they needed to talk as well. Seeing the two messages arrive almost at the same time, Remus panicked. He had always believed James and Sirius suited each other far better than either of them suited him, and he already felt lucky to have been with them at all. Convinced the best thing he could do was sacrifice himself for their future together, he invited both James and Sirius to the same restaurant at the same time for dinner. Except, he never showed up, so both James and Sirius arrived expecting to speak with Remus and instead found themselves forced to face each other. Sirius arrived first. The restaurant unsettled him, especially the long wine list on the table. He was still staring at it when James arrived. Misreading the situation, James assumed Sirius simply did not know what to order, so he confidently picked a bottle for them both, partly to solve the problem and partly to show off a little. James had originally planned to ask Remus whether he might be open to a three-way relationship, since it was obvious they were both attracted to Sirius. When Remus failed to appear and Sirius was waiting there instead, James assumed Remus had already approved the idea. As a result, he began flirting with Sirius rather aggressively, while Sirius only seemed to grow more and more frustrated. When James realised that Sirius is spiraling and on the verge of a panic attack, he quickly adjusted his behaviour, and brought Sirius outside.

Some story, finally! James sort of unlocks Sirius' tragic backstory (he's quite vague about it tho!), and they clear the misunderstanding a bit! Soon they will also figure out that wolfstarbucks is endgame! 😅 Stay tuned!

I am obsessed and in absolute awe, it looks so perfect, thank you very much @flowerhawk-highinthesky for making this happen! You put so much care and craftsmanship into it and took up with my bullshit when editing this beast for printing! It feels so special to be able to hold this in my hands, and I’m genuinely grateful for all the work and thought you put into the binding. I’m going to treasure it forever!

James is still out of town, so Remus asked Sirius to help him instead (though probably not just because of that…😏). Sirius already feels conflicted about the whole thing, and Mrs. Lupin’s reaction definitely isn’t helping his fear that he’s somehow becoming a homewrecker in James and Remus’ relationship.
