Up to two hours a day, eight hours a week, Kruger can condition his players and, on a limited basis, even run on-court drills with them.

It isn’t tough for Texas Tech far-reaching receiver Eric Ward to put his finger on a final time his group pulled off a vast win. It was final Oct in Norman, Okla., opposite unbeaten, third-ranked Oklahoma. Thar Red Raiders were bad adequate in 2011 to finish 2-7 in a Big 12 and get ripped to shreds—by a total 154 points—in their final 5 games. But somehow, they were good adequate to hang an L on a Sooners.

One junior-college receiver has apparently arrived in Norman, eligible to play at Oklahoma this fall.

Now, OU eagerly awaits the other one.Lacoltan Bester, who signed with the Sooners in May from East Mississippi Community College, has graduated, is academically eligible and will “have an immediate impact,” said Buddy Stephens, East Mississippi’s coach.
