A Year in Space Badgers, post 2/4 1. I traveled in 2019! Which was a big deal because the last time I really traveled anywhere outside of small daytrips was 2010. Yeah.
2. Went on my first-ever business trip, to a pretty sweet town
3. Went to the first Lightbox Expo out in Pasadena! (I kinda got pretty dehydrated the first day, whoops)
4. Had a lovely bonfire with family and friends. Bonfires are the best.

After having several very rough years in a row, I was more than a little surprised to get to the end of 2019 and realize I'd actually had an exceptionally good year (a feeling that 2020 would quickly snuff out!). So I decided to memorialize it with a small series of drawings entitled "A Year in Space Badgers."

Tired Space Badgers from fall 2019! My way of de-stressing after weeks of intense deadlines that I kept thinking were over but surprise! They weren't. But I survived in the end!
The few 2019 Inktober drawings I managed to get done before work & freelance deadlines took over. The plan was to get an animal suggestion from a different friend or family member each day. Might not have made it very far, but I had fun with what I did accomplish!

Back in 2019 I was long-overdue for a new profile pic, having cut my hair short a few years prior (never updated my tumblr one, whoops). Fast forward a year and I was once again growing my hair out due to the pandemic and have since kept it that way. So again, I need a new profile pic... and again, it'll probably be awhile before I get around to it :P

Bit of freelance character design work for Purple Aether Games from a few years back. Sadly, nothing ultimately came of the project, but I love drawing mice and greatly enjoyed the gig.
I have been to see a movie on opening night a grand total of once in my entire life. That movie was Detective Pikachu, and it was 100% worth it.
