NEW EPISODE, WHAT???

That’s right!  We actually made an episode.  Crazy, I know.  In this episode, long overdue, TJ and Kyle dive into the wonderful world of Steven Wilson. Hello! We know we have been very un-active for a while, but we promise that we have some good stuff coming!

The quality of some of those last episodes were not what you guys had come to expect, so we (Kyle - I haven’t told Tj yet (it’s a surprise don’t let him know)) have been working on something to make our episodes even BETTER than they were before. WOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooot.

So, until our next update, please enjoy this lovely song (which I found myself singing along to even though I never heard it before.... Interesting.)

For the first episode of 2017, TJ and Kyle invite Gwen onto the podcast with us to talk about the 1990's musical flop "Nick and Nora"! We talk about the music, why it failed, the theoretical choreography of "Hamilton", as well as many other (possibly related) things! Thanks for listening, and happy new year!!

Another bi-week, another episode!  This week on the song exchange podcast, TJ and Kyle talk about life, metal, Bruno Mars, and absolute business. There is also some non-spoilery talk of the "Fantastic Beasts", but there are no spoilers. However, there are many spoilers to "Black Butler"!...so we tried.

This week we listened to a bunch of stuff that Kyle compiled together, and it’s kinda complicated, to be honest.  You can find the full list here!

Wow, I forgot to post this yesterday!! Oops...

In any case: in this episode of the Song Exchange, TJ and Kyle actually talk about music for most of the show while trying not to talk about the election! But we talk about a bunch of other stuff, too!!

The in podcast listenings are “Wave the Sea” and “Brushy Fork” from Bryce Dessner’s Murder Ballades, Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto 2, and the third movement from Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata 7. 

Also, I want to say that after listening to the Bruno Mars song again in the last few days, I like it a lot more and the lyrics don’t seem as jarring to me.

Hi everybody, it’s TJ.

So if you’re here looking for an update, I’m sad to say that there isn’t one ready yet :(  Kyle and I have been both busy and sick in the weeks after we went to NYCC, and so we haven’t been able to record.  The original plan was to record the night of NYCC, but that didn’t work out (due to sickness and other things).

THAT BEING SAID, we will have an update either later this week or over the weekend.  The next episode is Kyle’s pick and is on a song that he only recently discovered on a favorite album of his (The Chronicles of Life and Death by Good Charlotte).  So we shall record and get that up as soon as we can.

In the meanwhile, to make up for the lack of content today, I have written a short story.  This story, “The Man”, is based in the same world as a much longer untitled story I am working on, but is placed ca. 1000 years before the longer story takes place.  Link here.

This week on the Song Exchange, we invite Sean [AND] onto the podcast to teach us the ways of Electro-Swing.
