Wanda Reign Hotel Facade Make Architects
“The hotel’s sophisticated cladding system is characterised by 902 hexagonal modules, which create the effect of multiple ‘eyes’ looking out over the city from the guestrooms. Each module is composed from highly reflective aluminium and angled in both plan and section to protect the rooms from solar gain and create a dynamic texture on the surface of the building, which is further animated with reflections and changing light conditions. Insulated silver aluminium cladding panels are arranged between the modules and LED lighting is integrated into each hexagon, emphasising the dramatic textured effect at night.”

Designed by Buck Studio, Di Café Deli is a vibrant cafe with its own bakery, located in Wroclaw, Poland. The project is a continuation of the studio’s concept created for dinette bistro – a friendly daily place with a casual atmosphere and interior design inspired by the 1950s. Similarly to dinette, the central point of this interior is a large dining table, accompanied by a grand sideboard with timber mosaic and a solid marble bar counter – all customised to adjust the shape of the interior plan.
The kitchen, in this case enlarged by a bakery, is easily visible through the walls which are made of translucent mix of glass and steel. Other characteristic features already known from dinette are retro timber chairs, a spatial installation of white hand made glass lamp shades and natural materials and finishes like marble and timber. Friendly and easy going cafe experience is emphasised by the black and white checkerboard floor tile pattern which also appears on the menu pages.

“Breathing Skins”.
Based on the concept of biomimicry, the technology is inspired by organic skins that adjust their permeability to control the necessary flow of light, matter and temperature between the inside and the outside.
