So, moving was fun

I don’t know why I don’t use this more often, but I should (and I should stop saying this every time I post. Like, it legit hasn’t been that long...).

Anyways, both my mother and father happened to need me back home for them. One is having surgery and the other is leaving for a job and needs a house sitter. So my happy ass gets to fly from Ohio to Alaska. I’ve spent the first few weeks here in Juneau, and soon I will be moving even further north to Fairbanks where I get to spend an indefinite amount of time working on...coasters? Drawing?... I dunno for sure yet. Should probably touch on that subject another time too. Have some photos! (That’s my cousin, by the way)

Starting work on a new coaster, finally. I am using a new tool that changes the way I am building, but improves the quality of the track work significantly, so this one is a lot smoother than others. Gonna finish terraforming and then it is time to work on the supports, then scenery, then lighting pack.

So, I fucked it all up. Made a change to my computer that required me to reinstall Windows. Now, normally I play smart and have NoLimits save directly to my Onedrive. Unfortunately it does not appear that I did the same for Merrigan Hills. And now, I can not find the file, and thus am presuming it lost. RIP Fuck it tho. Time to make something FUN!

I’ve been super absent, and I know I shouldn’t have been. But between work and another project I am working on, I haven’t had much time to really sit down and work on Merrigan Hills. On the bright side, the time I did have working on it, I managed to get the other two coasters built and placed. And at this stage I feel like this is about 20% complete. From here, I have to finish smoothing out the rides and adding the scenery and textures to the trains. I will be honest here, too. I haven’t even begun on the train textures.

So, this is as far as I have gotten today. I’m feeling accomplished, but there’s going to be at least another coaster in this park and a new level of detail that I’m not used to, so having this track laid out and ready for polish is just the first step.

This is going to take time, but I intend to make it as beautiful as I can, and as such, am going to try to take it one step at a time and make sure everything is finished before I move to the next step.

I guess I should just explain what I intend to do with this page. This is going to be my timeline and my happy place for the next few weeks. So, raging about League of Legends or about how I can’t get one particular vertex to cooperate with this coaster could be all that you see, but I highly doubt that.
