Okay it’s not just the post . The problem with romantic grimmnel (excluding my own headcanon of grimmjow being a gay person and nelliel being a lesbian) is that whenever written it is PURELY on the subject of grimmjow, nelliel doesn’t get to be sad, or be mad, or be anything other than kind or caring towards grimmjow. Which is a SHAME because nelliel is much much more than some type of misogynistic caricature of what a nice woman who just happens to be in anime (because these all tend to have some weird disguised misogyny written in). I think the PEAK qpps grimmnel is the Enemies To Sort Of Friends To Oh My God We Are Literally 2/3 Espada Left How Are We Supposed To Live Like This To You’re All I Have dynamics. Grimmjow is living purely out of spite. Nelliel is living because she’s alive. They need something else than each other obviously, but Pre-TYBW I imagine they are the few who really don’t like .. have anything, especially grimmjow in this case because I may be wrong but tia still has her fraccion and so does nelliel but they treat her like a Child most of the time unless it’s life or death and I imagine Nelliel is just like. I need something else. And grimmjow is like wow I have fucking ass and balls. Then they get stuck with each other and they both HATE each other. grimmjow because he’s a prick and nelliel because grimmjow is a prick. But in my ideal world (and in my AU appropriately named “grimmjow goes to therapy”) grimmjow.. works through his feelings without using others as a emotional sounding board? And gets to like awkwardly comfort nelliel when she is having her own struggles? I don’t know I’m just saying some words but . Think about it. Just think about it
