Lipstick is usually the first makeup a girl is allowed to wear: usually a strawberry lip gloss or some such lolly tasting thing to hook them on it for life lol. It’s a clear distinction between “male” and “female” when you’re a kid. It’s also one of the first things a sissy like me tried on: it makes you look like a girl quickly and easily when you’re young and trying it out for the first time (and easy to wipe off if one’s parents come home earlier than expected, trust me on this!!) Usually, it’s the first step after trying on dresses or lingerie: the first step of a true sissy instead of a merely curious boy.

There are many reasons a woman may wear it: it’s expected for any woman in a corporate, professional, public facing or clerical job; it’s expected by men and other women, it’s a social conditioning thing in this sense. There’s what I like to call the “baboon’s bottom theory”, that states that lips are painted (throughout history) for reasons like resembling labia and therefore showing sexual readiness, like a brightly colored monkey bum being waved at the alpha chimp - primate marketing 101! It’s also suggested women wear lipstick to look younger or more vital. It protects the soft vulnerable skin of the lips as well. That’s the more obvious reasons…

The less obvious: it’s cultural signaling too. The colour, shape, and brand of a lipstick can be a way of showing the world you want to be viewed as an executive, an engineer, a slut, a goth, a rock chick etc…it can show a woman’s culture (e.g. a “Jersey wife” with dark liner and light pink Mac, a Melbourne socialite with dark hair and blood red Shiseido). The absence of lipstick too: a woman under Sharia law in Iran is forbidden to wear it, a feminist in London may refuse to wear it as a way of rejecting a patriarchal society that still oppresses Western women.

It’s one of the quickest and most visible ways of looking feminine for a sissy. Men don’t wear it (traditionally that is: Bieber and One Direction types technically do for example but it’s more to suggest a natural and youthful appearance and sell a BUTTLOAD of merchandise to little girls) so for a male to wear bright pink or blood red lipstick he is presenting as a sissy, a she.

It makes a sissy’s face pretty: thin lips can be subtly painted to look like much fuller, female ones. A friend of mine once did my makeup: it was my first real time out in public as a girl, and not as a costume or “guy in a dress” look. It was on the Commercial Road strip in Prahran for Midsumma Festival: I wore an awesome black satin “wedding” corset, black vintage satin pencil skirt with red Chinese embroidery, black fishnets and severe bob wig with bangs - hey it was like 2004 or something ok??? She used a lip liner slightly darker than the red she used on my lips, and when I saw them in a mirror soon after I was completely blown away: she had completely changed their shape to a lush feminine cupid’s bow. For the very real first time I actually thought that I looked somewhere along the way to being passable and convincing as a girl; in looks anyway! That look in the mirror was like a lightning bolt: it looked right, it made me feel beautiful and desirable, and it made me want to go further down that road. So in fact lipstick has been both a liberation and a reinforcement in my becoming a sissy.

Like a genetic woman, lipstick covered lips show that the sissy is sexually ready or available. Or more simply: to attract cocks to suck, lipstick is a sissy’s best friend lol!
