It so frustrating to see mcyt’s go “oh shipping my characters makes me uncomfy, it’s against my boundaries” like, what, you’re uncomfortable with having people basically just mash dolls together? Because the minute you put it on the internet, it’s no longer in your control. I think it’s the CCs proximity with their fanbase because you don’t see actors or authors acting this way with their characters. You can’t stop people from doing things. What is a much more reasonable thing is saying “this thing makes me uncomfortable, make sure if you make it tag it appropriately so I can block it. Do not go out of your way to show me and I will not go out of my way looking for it” Your allowed to be uncomfortable but your responsible for curating your own experience, not trying to stop it from existing at all.

Ccs that understand this concept, I respect way more. The internet is gonna internet no matter what and by going after things all you do is make them create a thousand different tags making it impossible to block them all which makes it more likely you will see it. Also I don’t understand why you’re even uncomfortable with people who you do not know and do not know you are creating art of your characters kissing, unless it’s like, constantly being shoved in your face.

I have very normal feelings about your Eridian Grace AU, I love it a normal amount and I would love to have some very normal conversations about it. I do not bite.

So in case anyone needs it:

You want to study abroad? Show us proof that there is a quadrillion dollars in your bank account. Oh, an average monthly salary in your country is $400 and you plan to work when you arrive? You can't do that, silly, a student visa only allows you to work 2 hours every third Wednesday, and if we find out that you're working a second more we will deport you.

You want to work abroad? Better be a programmer, then of course you are welcome. Doctor, scientist, white-collar or, god forbid, blue-collar worker? You can fuck right off, your visa application goes straght into trash.

You will have to prove that you can afford a guest, have some income and also usually take responsibility for possible deportation cost.

But if you really are inviting a friend over, they will give you a formal document you can send to your friend. Then the friend applies for a visa while attaching the Very Official document with it. They will get the Schengen visa and most probably will get it expedited too.
