In a press release today, Mobile Suit Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, 73, announced that all current and future releases of the popular Japanese mecha anime have been “permanently cancelled”. Speaking from a conference in Kyoto, he stated:

Gundam is shit. The Universal Century is shit. SEED is shit. Turn A is shit. Gundam is a bad show and I cannot understand how people enjoy this franchise. From now on, all Gundam is banned forever. Otaku manchildren need to find a new hobby. Stop playing with plastic robot dolls and go enjoy the outdoors.

Comparing a series long suit to the one off obscure suits is so weird. I feel like people don't actually remember G Gundam, and how over the course of the series Domon basically assembled a squad of fighters who respected him and were willing to fight along side him.
