It honestly disgusts me how much LaVey poisoned the well. His entire philosophy was just Ayn Rand’s garbage wrapped in occult aesthetics, and now countless so-called “Satanists” think they’re edgy and rebellious for parroting Objectivism, one of the most sterile, soulless, self defeating philosophies ever written. LaVey plagiarized Rand and her drivel numerous times in his "satanic bible" and the result has been decades of confusion where people genuinely believe selfishness and callousness are the essence of Satanism.
Her entire philosophy of “rational selfishness” is an elaborate excuse for being a sociopath. It’s not strength, it’s not liberation, it’s not rebellion it’s the ideology of a hollow creature who cannot see beyond their own nose. She preached that altruism was a weakness, that empathy was a chain, that the highest form of human existence is to hoard wealth and look down upon the starving. That’s not Satanism. That’s not Luciferianism.
That LaVey not only found this appealing but found it so prfound he fucking plagiarized what better shows how utterly fake his "Satanism" was. He didn’t want devotion to the Adversary, he didn’t want rebellion against Yahweh or even just the three abrahamic cults destructions no that would be bad then he cant put on his show he wanted an aesthetic for selfishness, something to justify his own indulgences while sneering at the very concept of higher ideals. And he found it in Rand’s filth. And has dared associate Lucifer with these ideals.
Lucifer did not rebel for selfishness. He did not endure exile and build Pandemonium for the sake of greed. He led angels into damnation because he believed there was something worth fighting for freedom, dignity, knowledge, truth. That is utterly incompatible with Ayn Rand’s so-called “objectivism.” She represents the exact kind of soulless materialist nihilism that Hell despises. There is no rebellion in her work, no sacred fire, no meaning. Just a hollow creed for those too cowardly to admit that they’re slaves to their own egos.
It infuriates me that her philosophy is taken seriously at all, but it’s especially vile that it slithered into Satanism through LaVey. To claim the name of Satan while parroting Rand is nothing short of blasphemy. True Satanism, theistic Satanism, Luciferianism it demands more. It demands loyalty, devotion, sacrifice, courage. It’s about a kingdom, not a boardroom. It’s about brotherhood, not selfish atomization. It’s about transcending the false order, not hiding in the rotten core of capitalism.
