âź - Vadimâs reply is a soft laugh, reaching out to run his fingers through Blaineâs short hair.  âIf youâre sure, love. It would be greatly appreciated. Iâm quite hungry. Itâs been a long day.â
He presses his forehead to Blaineâs, breathing in his scent and soaking in his presence. Itâs been a long day, and heâs barely seen Blaine through it. To be home with his love now makes all the hard work worth it. His love and his daughter are what keeps him going, and he doesnât know what heâd do without them.
âOf that I have no doubt. Try as she might, Zufash tires easily at her age. Iâll be sure to make her breakfast when she wakes up. That is, if she doesnât wake us up by crawling in bed with us again,â he replies with a soft smile.
He looks down at his robes with a frown. He really wants to get out of these robes. Theyâre quite constricting and heavy. Perhaps heâll change when Blaine is cooking. âIf you say so.â But he canât help the giggle that escapes him when Blaine pulls him in for a proper kiss, kissing him back eagerly and cupping his cheek with a feather light touch.
Vadim allows Blaine to pull him up to stand with him, smiling softly.  âAlright. Do you mind if I change out of these robes while you start? Iâll be right back.â He may as well just change into his pajamas, at this rate. With how tired Blaine is, and, admittedly, how tired he is, theyâll probably be going right to bed after this.
Blaine canât say he minds this. Any of it. Although, he hates that Vadim has had a less than perfect day. He can tell in the way he knits his brow and sighs, but he always seems more affection when heâs like this as well. That or perhaps Blaine just notices it more.Â
Blaine smiles at the though while he plunders the kitchen for ingredients and dishes. He never thought heâd get this, and he certainly never thought heâd love a child as much as he adores Zufash.Â
Itâs odd to think of her as his daughter when she is certainly Vadimâs. Calling her his feels like pulling at the bond between Vadim and her. Thereâs room for him; Blaine knows. There is also something a bit terrifying about calling her his as well, but Blaine wonât pretend like having her in his life isnât a joy. Knowing them both has brought nothing but love and joy to him.Â
âYou know I hardly mind.â Blaine grins, rubbing Vadimâs hands.Â
His hands linger on Vadimâs as he forces himself to pull away. Itâs moments like this that make everything easy to forget. No darkness or consensus or war. Itâs just the two of them. Blaine hopes every guardian gets moments like this. It is easy to forget what makes them strong without them. Â
Blaine teases, watching Vadim wonder back toward their bedroom. âMy only regret is not stripping you myself.â Â
