ビューティフルピープル (BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE)

パリで初めてのプレゼンテーションを行ったビューティフルピープル(beautiful people)。

プレコレクションではBAD SENCEをテーマに、固定観念を乗り越えることに挑戦したコレクションを提案したが、パリでのメーンコレクションでは和服と洋服という相反するものを融合。お互いの要素をミックスすることでパリでもトーキョーでもない新しい服を生み出すことにチャレンジした。

オーバーサイズの着物風コートやジャポニズム風ドレス、ドレスは帯のような太いベルトを巻き、着物のように袖が広がる。スカートも着物や十二単を思わせる。そして世界地図を描いたニットやランドセル風バッグ。東京でも「男はつらいよ」をテーマにしたコレクションを見せたことがあるビューティフルピープルだが、イーストミーツウエスト、東洋趣味などストレートに表現している。
