you constantly have this pressing urge to apologize for your behaviour, despite knowing you’ve done nothing wrong, because you’re terrified you’ve said something to make them suddenly hate you.

you also feel guilty all the time for feeling this way, because you know they aren’t ignoring you or angry with you, they’re just too busy or tired or preoccupied with their own issues, which makes you feel like you’re an awful, egocentrical piece of trash for believing that you’re everyone’s first priority and that if they’re not paying attention to you, it must be because they hate you. because you know they don’t. you know they’re dealing with their own issues.

but you still feel like everything you do is wrong, and that you’re responsible for the way people treat you, even though you know that the way people treat you is a reflection of them, not of you.
