      sakura had no idea what dabi was up to when tall form lowered to her height , nearly recoiling when his face came closer and closer to her own . eyes closed out of reflex , cheeks flushing deeper than usual . she reaches to wrap her arms gentle around his neck , fingers toying with the short strands of hair there . thumbs do their best to rub at his jawline , smiling into the soft kiss to her cheek . and when he stands back up , she lets him go , opting instead to press her face into his chest to hide her fluster further , arms coiling under his jacket to wrap him up in a hug . that’ll show him !

        it wasn’t that she was purposefully trying to make him uncomfortable , either , by forcing her father’s clothes on him . never did she think she’d offer a man her home , let alone let him wander around half - naked . flushed cheeks grow darker at the thought before she slaps it away , patting her cheeks . “ i’ll make sure to ask him about it later ! but come on , the kitchen’s this way ! ” almost instinctively she goes to reach for his hand , pulling back only once she realized what she was doing . ah ... he wasn’t a child now , was he ? nor was he one of her sisters , who would’ve easily put their hands in hers . she gives a bit of an uneasy chuckle , motioning for him to follow her . “ what are you in the mood for ? i have vegetables , pretty sure i have some meat too , i haven’t gone shopping for a couple days but i’m sure there’s something ... ” she rattles off a couple more things to eat , attention now drawn to the small fridge in an equally small kitchen , still heavily decorated in flowers .

     she was certain he wasn’t comfortable here in her home , but this was the only place she knew she could bring him for fear of the other pro heroes killing him off themselves . small frame leans in close , reaching around to begin wrapping , making sure it was taut enough to not fall off . once she was done , sakura lightly patted at his abdomen , standing up straight to place hands on her hips and admire her handiwork . when he doesn’t say anything , however , gaze lifts up to see his , then follows it out the door . “ it’s not much --- it’s what my starting salary would pay for , once i got more popular i just couldn’t bear to startle the flowers . they can go into shock , you know , from moving . ” she offers idle conversation , now starting to clean everything up. “ are you hungry ? i could make us something to eat ! i’m sure papa wouldn’t mind lending me one more lounging yukata if i wash his other ones ! ”

     sakura’s home was filled to the brim with fragrant flowers , nestled neatly in decorative pots and clear glasses . it was open , bright , and filtered in sunlight whenever possible . she’d busied herself in making sure she had enough first aide supplies before setting the villain in the bathroom , getting everything she needed , and returned . “ alright ! lift your arms please ! hm ... i think i’m going to have to borrow more of my papa’s clothes for you - i don’t think you’d fit any of my spare yukatas ... ” or she’d have to go out and get him some clothes ... either way , she reaches with a fresh roll of bandages , prepared to wrap them herself . “ you’ve been a good patient so far ! ”
