“but you’re an asshole.” he sighs, moving his arms over his eyes. there it was. some of the words he’d been expecting. “look, if you don’t like this shit just tell me flat out and i’ll pack my shit and go. you won’t need to burn anything.” he’d had a few burned or destroyed in the past by exs and family members, he wasn’t going to allow the small collection he had left get destroyed by some asshole he thought he had feelings for.

“‘ey! it’s not sad!” he tsks, scowling at sam but in the most playful of fashions. he wasn’t a hesitant person when it came to being touchy with friends, so he wasn’t exactly hesitant about being close with sam - but with the whole situation in general. “your feet have been through worse? what did you date someone with a foot fetish or something?” austin teases, looking down at their feet and raising one of his own as if he was going to stomp on sam’s foot, not able to keep the seriousness for very long before he finds himself laughing again and looking back up at him. “i never expected you to be able to dancer something like this.”

“oh but assholes are always the hottest.” austin teases back, leaning close to jangwoo until the other sat next to him. he lets out an annoyed sigh, plopping back on to the bed fully with his arms up above his head and eyes staring up at the ceiling. “no. i’m comfortable now.” he huffs out, scowling to the ceiling. he was still waiting for the reality to hit him, or for the hand to hit him. or both. austin was prepared for both. for jangwoo to kick him out the second he got out of the house, for the jokes to really be made, past the snide remarks he was so used to from his boyfriend. “i look like a jackass even in my usual clothes. if i look like a jackass now then it’s perfect.”

“your brother?” no wonder an omega was wandering around at this time of day alone - they weren’t supposed to be. “where did you last see him?” net asks softly, looking around where they were. he was doing his best to position his chair in a way to hide hyungseo from sight, on the off chance any other alphas were in the vicinity. out of sight was out of mind for some after all. “what’s your name? and what’s your brother look like?”

austin couldn’t help his slight laugh at the comment, “i mean, i dropped my make up pallet in the toilet earlier.” he admits. he had never been shy about wearing make up, it wasn’t something he hid like he did these clothes, so there was no hesitation in talking about it. “i only had a purple pallet left, so this is the only thing i had that matched.” he looked down at the dress and pulled the top down a little, scrunching his nose, “i’ve had the same dresses since high school because assholes like you.” austin looks over at his boyfriend leaning against the dresser, “every time i’ve tried to get new ones i chicken out because i don’t wan’ ta get beat.” it had happened before with some exs, when they’ve found a bag with a dress in it, so he’d given up. he didn’t want that pain again.

dee laughs, hiding his face down against joohwa’s chest for a second before looking back up, “i mean, i can make it dirty if thats what the birthday boy wants.” he grins, pressing a kiss to the corner of his boyfriends lips. “i’ll make sure you get a lot of chocolate.”

“trust me, anything you could say won’t be worse then my ex. he would win in an asshole contest against you by two hundred kilometers.” he’d herd it all. not only from that ex but from other ones in the past and he was prepared to hear it now so he lets out a sigh and plops himself down on to the edge of his bed, ready for the disaster that was given to unfold. “it’s not my only reason, but it’s the only one guys like you understand. so just understand they’re comfy as shit and i like wearing them.” he wasn’t going to make an excuses, he’d done that for to many years, so austin was resigned to telling the truth - or at lest a partial truth that maybe jangwoo would understand.

the way sam reacts makes austin laugh, “what? is it a crime or something? i’ve just never had someone to dance with!” slow dancing with a stranger had always seemed strange to austin, holding someone he didn’t know so close to his body and being in their space, so he had never tried to before. “oh hell no man i’ll probably -” he’s laughing again when his roommate grabs on to his hand and pulls his body close before he could even finish the words. oh gods he was slow dancing. he was slow dancing with sam. “i’m going to step on you.”

“this isn’t - um -” he hadn’t planned this to be the way his boyfriend found out he liked this, and he couldn’t even say this isn’t how it seems either because, hell, here austin was standing in the middle of their room in a pastel purple cupcake covered dress and pink tights, “okay, yeah, it’s exactly what it looks like. i’m weird. i like wearing dresses. sue me.” austin drops his hand from his hair, pulling the bow he had been attempting to put into his hair down with the movement, “they’re comfy as shit.” a feeble way to defend his habit.

“yes we do! a lot of special plans!” he giggles, wrapping his arms around the other mans neck. “i’ll keep you up all night with me. you won’t want to get up to do work tomorrow.” oh that sounded dirty... oh well.

“i don’t know.” austin leans his back against the wall, one ankle crossed atop the other, “it seemed like it would be fun.” he wasn’t used to the cameras, being on radio meant very little people that knew him never knew his face, but he’d always wanted to see what a photo shoot was like. funny enough the way he was standing, the easy confidence that austin always seemed to carry, and the way he looked if the people around them didn’t know jay was the only model for the photos they might have mistaken him for one as well.

“hey. hey jay, look at me.” dee’s voice was gentle as he cupped the other mans cheeks in an attempt to force him to look at him. “it’s okay. i’m here for you. you can cry and scream all you want.” he didn’t know what was going on, why jay was acting like this today, but he wasn’t going to push for any information. he just wanted him to know he was here. “you’re safe. i’ve got you.”

“now lets go over to the comment section from our listeners.” austin switches his screen as he speaks, transitioning between segments with an easily practiced ease. he’d been running this radio show for long enough now that everything ran like a well oiled machine - until a wrench was thrown into it. “heres one from listener i’m your baby, cute name, they say; i’m pregnant and it’s... yours... austin.” he looks up in surprise, looking out of the booth at the producer who looked just as equally shocked, before his eyes shifted towards his partner who had insisted on coming to watch him do his show tonight. “wait really?” there was a nod from his partner and austin laughs, leaning back in his chair with his hands behind his back. “holy shit. i’m - i’m sorry for my language but holy jeezus fucking christ! i’m going to be a dad!”
