thinking about how different this holiday must feel for them. they’ve been dipping their toes into the experience of being out back home in london, yes, with the dinners etc—but holidays are made for unfettered enjoyment of your person’s company and finally, finally, they can lean in as much as they want. they can book any type of room and not have an explanation ready for someone who might know them. they could introduce each other as their partner and who cares if it ends up online. they could hold hands. they could kiss. they might not want to do any of that, but there’s nothing keeping them from it, if they did want to. and that makes all the difference.
