i try to find you in other people i try to make what we had possible with other people but no matter how deep i look no matter how close i come i realize that they’re not you and they never will be when i think of you and what we had it leaves me feeling both angry and empty it makes me long for those feelings again those feelings of passion and love those feelings of never wanting to leave your side the feelings that were so strong it made me want to write poetry for you when i had stopped due to lack of concentration and motivation you were my motivation and my love you made me want to live you helped me feel beautiful inside and out you helped me feel loved you helped me to believe it even if it was just for a second when you left that day out of the blue when you had promised months before that we’d be forever when you left me to cry with those bitter words tearing at my heart i still loved you i wanted you back i didn’t care that you hurt me i loved you so much that i chose to overlook your imperfections i focused on the person that you used to be when you were with me but in the end that just broke my heart more
