Valaria, or "Vera" as she is mostly referred to, is a young adult in her fresh 30s trying to help her problems with anxiety and mental health via traveling the world to experience what she can. This is how she wound up running into the Lupin gang and inadvertently getting wrangled up into her first ever heist adventure with them-- and especially her first encounter with the famous gunman.

Through the power of sheer dumb luck, she has survived each and every subsequent encounter with the group, and befriending the inspector at the end of almost every encounter. Over the course of these encounters she's had plenty of time to start to get to know the gang. Very rocky at the start, but over time her relationships with each of the members grows to be something more stable. She isn't encountering them on purpose, and neither are they to her, but life is funny like that with its coincidences.

She isn't a thief nor does she aspire to be one, she's just an average civilian.. with anxieties. If anything.. she's like a more timid, reserved, and emotionally inward version of Zenigata.. in a way. but that focus is for an au that I will only talk about if asked about it first if interested for more Zenigata--

Her personality and preferences overlap with Jigen, however, which is actually quite good. Their "freak" is matched rather well. She respects him and his boundaries greatly and appreciates the things he's done to help her and even protect her during some of their encounters mid-heist. Despite their start being the roughest (on Jigen's apprehensive behalf) their relationship has developed the most out of the gang.. in many ways.

Even if she isn't into guns and knows nothing of them, she makes an effort to ask him questions to get him to talk about them to her. Sharing in his interest and just generally enjoying when he talks.. especially about something he knows a lot about. In turn, Jigen will do similar, get her to open up and talk more. She's usually quite shy and quiet, so it's rather nice to see her smile and chat about things.

(She's on friendly acquaintance terms with Zenigata, neutral acquaintance terms with Fujiko, neutral friendly grounds with Goemon, and finally still rocky but friendly terms with Lupin. She wasn't exactly receptive of his flirtation tactics..)

..You'll never catch her in dresses or skirts.
