Major Study

This is a screenshot of the cover of the lookbook. As its to do with the four seasons I thought I should do a clipping mask with the number 4 but I don’t think It done justice to the book, instead it made it look cheap. So I thought I’d use the four main colours from her outfits and make four little boxes to symbolise the seasons. They all agreed to that but we all were unsure about the script font because it wasn’t flowing smoothly. But we finally found the perfect font called SUNN because it sat under the four boxes perfectly.

For the seasons lookbook at first I tried to use a script font, but it wasn’t readable. But every time I thought about the different I imagined it written using a script typeface. I felt like all the ones I picked worked with the magazine. So I decided to use the font called SUNN because I felt as though it went with the theme, as it looks delicate but fun at the same time.fonts recommendations for this look book.

I was looking into different binding techniques as one of the photographers wanted her lookbook to be a flick book. She didn’t want it to be double page spreads because she’s promoting jewellery and all her pictures are portrait. So I was looking into layouts that I could have text alongside the image on the next spread. If we were to make a flick book design I was looking into ways I can put it into a sleeve so it is packed away.

We experimented with these fonts but we stuck to Helvetica and Bebas, because the two fonts complimented each other. As Bebas is tall and condensed whereas Helvetica is rounded and short.

images we edited for the cookbook because single shots wouldn't have worked as she's truing to show perception of modesty through these individuals. Also we had to do a lot of cropping to as the background wasn't full white and we found it hard to edit without ruining the contrast of her face and making it extremely bright. but the images that we made black and white are the ones that we couldn't hide the marks so we had to edit it to make it look clean 

This the logo Fifi made to define herself as a creative. she wanted us to place this into the magazine to define it and give it a personal touch. it makes the letter ‘p’ and ‘f’ which means photography and her name Fifi
