Lots of names and it’s easy to navigate. You can create your own name lists and let others vote on them. It’s got a big downside though; You have to be a VIP member to have access to everything, including writing in the forums. But if you only want to search for names, this site works very well.

A very fun name site with interesting functions, like graphic maps over name popularity. Got a huge Namepedia and you can rank names after different criterias and creating your own lists. The layout is a bit confusing, but overall it is a great site.

A wonderful site, especially for us that are suckers for British names. Have lots of great name lists and Birth Announcements (my personal favorite on the site) and different Name analysis and statistics. Kind of boring layout, but it’s easy to see past it.

A very interesting site that also have a separate surname site. Easy to navigate. Got popularity lists from a lot of different countries and a very fun and creative “re-namer” where you can get a first, middle and last name by choosing different criteria’s. It also got a lively community and you can play name games. Big plus: It’s all free to use once you become a member (which is free)

I think my interest for names started when i was around ten. I liked to ask random children in my school what their name was (and their sibling’s, and their parents, lol). I loved to borrow every able baby name book in the library, and then reading them for hours, writing down my favorite names and their meanings, then use them to name characters in stories i wrote. I also liked, and still do, reading the birth announcements in the paper, always looking for the unique and extraordinary.

I am almost 29 years old now, and my passion for names have never faltered. I have collected uncountable numbers of names through the years and combos have come and gone.
