My 2nd 3D Print Project that actually came out close to perfectly. Besides the two Bunchy Boats. The is the 1st one besides the bunchy boat that printed well. It’s called a Slinky Rex. It’s so cool. The links printed naturally, there are no hinges or anything. It’s truly marvelous. 3D printers can do some awesome stuff! I got this one to print by turning down the heat on the print bed. I believe the issue that effected all my other prints was that the bed was too hot, not allowing the Filomena to solidify properly which didn’t allow the foundation to stick to the print bed. I also added a bridge to help with adhesion as well. I’m super happy! Because I was starting to think all I was going to be able to print was those damn bunchy boats. I hope my setting modifications work with future prints. We will see. In the mean time I got a cool slinky rex 🦖 to give to my nephew in law, who is obsessed with dinosaurs. This is my first viable 3-D Print. It’s been tough getting my Printer to work all the way through and not screw up. I tried to make 3 mine craft characters yesterday and it totally shit the bed on that one. But this here, this Benchy Boat, she worked on this thing all the way thru and it came out close to perfect. I’m pretty stoked about it! This is my 3rd print consecutively, first print successfully. Before and after photos of my second overall plumbing project. I fixed a close friends 100 year old bathroom sink and plumbing. It was a challenge to be sure. I went with abs instead of copper or some other metal. Looking at the old one, you can imagine why. It was all rotted & rusty and super nasty sludge fully blocked the pipes. It started out as a job removing blockage from the original plumbing. But when I tried to take off the nut on the P-trap, the whole drain, p-trap and elbow fitting just cracked off from the flange and the wall pipe, it was so rusty and old. I had to pry that old flange out of the sink and then scoop out the tons of goop from the wall pipe and sand off the broken edges around it so I could fit a plastic coupling to it to connect a small piece of abs pipe that I cut to fit into the coupling and used abs cement to glue that to the ABS P-trap and installed a new drain.
