“spuffy fucking in that alley was trashy” this, “spuffy fucking in that alley was unhygienic” that. sorry that you guys don’t get how spike is watching buffy constantly punishing herself bc the people around her have taught her it’s the Right™ thing to do and him wanting to help her and actually being the only person in her life to offer help instead of expecting her to figure it all out herself but he’s also the one person she won’t take help from and so he’s playing the role she asks of him instead — the distraction, the momentary fix, anything to get her through that day — and yeah, it’s seedy but it’s not like he cares, he’ll be whatever she needs him to be, and i’m sorry you guys don’t see how heartbreaking & also hot that is but what can i say i’m built different 🤷🏼‍♀️
