I can tell that we’ve been living with all the pretty significant restrictions for 6+ weeks now in the way that things that I used to easily overlook are now grating on my nerves like fingernails on chalkboard. Me: “Wow, day 42.”

It’s Monday today, which got me having some pretty Monday thoughts. While I try not to dwell on the downsides and limitations inherent in all the social distancing we’re currently navigating, sometimes it’s hard to see past them. I miss seeing the guys on Monday nights. Also,it was really a bummer for the kids when the governor announced today that all the schools in our state would finish the…

Sundays are the day of the week I’m most likely to watch a sporting event, whether that be football in the fall and winter or baseball once spring has come. Sometimes I ever watch soccer with the oldest son on Sunday mornings.

Of course we aren’t doing any of that now, since there aren’t any sports to speak of in the midst of social distancing. But that doesn’t mean I can wear socks to show…

Youngest son asked me to have movie night today because there’s a movie from 2007 he’s been hoping to watch. As he’s 11 going on teenager, I wasn’t about to pass up that chance. It also made today’s sock decision pretty easy.
