The Weight of Wandering
I wake with questions that never sleep,
Searching for a reason that’s mine to keep.
The world keeps moving, steady and fast,
While I stand wondering how long this feeling will last.
They say we’re all born with a purpose to find,
Yet mine feels hidden behind my own mind.
I chase the horizon, but it slips away,
Leaving me emptier at the end of the day.
I’ve worn different faces, I’ve played different parts,
Collected ambitions from other people’s hearts.
But when the noise settles and silence remains,
I’m left with my thoughts and unanswered pains.
Still, somewhere beneath all the doubt and the fear,
A quiet voice whispers, “Your reason is near.”
Perhaps purpose isn’t a lightning strike above,
But something that’s built through courage and love.
So until that day when my path becomes clear,
I’ll keep taking one step, though uncertainty is here.
Because even a soul that’s lost in the night
Can become its own reason to keep chasing the light.
