got absolutely baja BLASTED last winter boys. also got blasted by exhaust and heat and now know that saving money to travel in the transport truck ferry is apparently not the move?? on a brighter note sunshine, snorkeling, tacos and some incredible people to enjoy it with. lucky, grateful girl over here!

Controversy around women simply existing in their own bodies will never cease to amaze me.

Do you remember that trend a few years ago with women taking their tops off at the tops of summits? We were called repulsive. Or thirsty. Or too old. Or too fat. Or too muscular. 🙄

We were also celebrated for strength, for courage, for beauty at any age. 😍

But really, we did it for ourselves. To feel the freedom that men get to feel without a second thought. The sunshine on our skin. The breeze drying our sweat. The gloriousness of being fully & unabashedly ourselves in nature. 🫶

But somehow our backs were offensive if we posted the picture of a moment celebrating breaking free of societal norms for half a second & allowing ourselves to remember what it felt like to run free.

Whatever.

We have bodies. And they are strong & weak. Beautiful & broken. Old & young. Fat & thin. And absolutely everything in between. We don’t exist for men to look at—we exist for our own self to live life! To feel! To love! To break a little…or a lot. To build community. To protect. To protest. To touch. To create.

So I’m just here to encourage you to try this if you haven’t yet.

Because there is seriously something so freeing about feeling nature all over you & letting the girls breathe for even a minute. To remember that you ARE nature.

It took me a while to try that trend, but now it’s my fave thing to do. And here’s the funny thing—that one hike started me down a pathway of learning to enbrace my body & practicing slef-love in new ways. Which led to skinny dipping & n+de spas & clothing optional beaches, even some boudoir modeling from time to time. Bodies are bodies. We all have one & it is so far past time to keep living in shame about the one we have. And I truly think that we would all have less shame if we saw real bodies more often. Because, just like all the bear tiddies in these pictures, we are all part of nature’s diverse creations.

My ten years ago self would never have dreamed I could feel comfy in my own skin the way I do now, at 45. And it seriously started with a sunrise hike, nobody around, & a hurried selfie timer pic of my back.

いよいよ駒の湯山荘の季節がやって来ました‼️

豪雪地帯ゆえ、例年6月あたりから秋までの期間営業。 その間の予約を4/1に一斉受付されるのですが、4/1の予約開始日のプレッシャーは冷や汗もの、、、、

なんとか無事に、昨年に続き今年も既にお気に入りのお部屋を予約済み‼️ 本来ならアブ🪰の少ない6/上旬に行きたいところ、今年の6月は湯布院、黒川ゆえに断念💦

Over 500 women descended on Magheramore Beach today in neon skirts, leg warmers and big hair before stripping down and dipping into the Irish sea, as the popular Strip and Dip fundraising event returned with ambitions of securing a third Guinness World Record.

This annual women-only event officially broke the record for the largest gathering of people dressed in 1980s clothing with 503 counted, adding another chapter to its unique history of combining charity fundraising with world-record achievements.

Now in its 13th year, Strip and Dip has become one of Ireland’s most recognisable fundraising events, bringing together women from across the country for a symbolic dip in the Irish Sea in support of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, a charity that assists families affected by childhood cancer.

pennyfox.me Das Land aus Feuer und Eis. Überall lauern Geothermetische Felder und locken mit lieblichen Schwefelgeruch, blubbernden Substanzen und irgendwas zischt und bläst immer aus einem Loch. Und wir waren gut darin, die kleinen, feinen, kostenfreien und kaum frequentierten heißen Quellen zu finden. Teilweise als erste des Tages bei -7 Außentemperatur. Da wirken auch 35° nach kurzer Zeit ungemütlich kühl, so dass wir uns um den begrenzten Platz direkt an der Quelle kloppten. In jedem Fall jedes Mal ein besonderes Erlebnis.
