Meh. I noticed but since it’s Isshiki I don’t really care. Wouldn’t be canon anyway, just for fun, since the Double Drive manga changes a lot from the anime.
Can you tell me what thing you dislike about kazuya taiga?
The resolution to his story arc. It managed to be both anti-climactic and not actually solve any of his long-term issues. His story was actually one of the most interesting parts of the show to me, if not the most interesting (save for my wondering about Inui and Tatsumi’s history, but that’s just my shipper heart and the show wouldn’t even touch on that) so the way they “resolved“ it actually left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. It’s just another reason I don’t like the writing in Double Drive.
Ah, it’s true! Drive Head is getting a fanbook in August. I heard people talking about it on Twitter, but couldn’t find the source.
Don’t know if it will be any good, since it seems to be aimed at the target audience (kindergarteners) rather than the adult fans, but I’ll probably order it anyway as long as I can find a site shipping it overseas.
(The Pikaia fanbook was actually pretty good, although that was probably aimed more at the adult fans)

If I come off like I hate Battle Spirits now, I really don’t. It’s just, I have very little interest in the card game itself anymore, and not much interest in the more recent seasons. And there’s simply not much to discuss when there’s no new anime and probably isn’t going to be anymore. I also have zero desire to rank the characters by strength and discuss if X is overpowered. Lots of stuff is overpowered, because the game had an enormous power creep. That’s just the way it works, and it’s definitely a big reason I lost interest in the game. I was never good at card games because I just like to play with cards I like and don’t care about the meta.
I still get intense feels over Toppa Bashin, Gekiha Dan and Brave. Those seasons were the best.Â

Nah, I love SD27. Being an Ophiuchus, we know we’re going to be excluded. Even from fortunes. But really, I don’t much care what cards do/don’t get included in re-releases. Most of the time I wouldn’t even notice. To be blunt, I was always more into the characters/shipping than the card game itself, though it’s fun.
On the latest episode of Stupid Things I Shouldn’t be Thinking About, Fake White Hope is actually based off Mikoto’s White Hope pre-beheading, so that would theoretically make it a girl, right?

This is probably crazy, but since there's still zero news on Gou's upgrade (even Kuroeda's has a picture despite being confirmed not to appear until the movie), what if Interceptor isn't being upgraded at all, and due to the crossover, Gou will actually get to drive a Shinkalion?
