⚽️ Last night was a blast watching the Village of San Antonio come together! The girls cheering on the boys and the adult community watching from the sidelines. A fútbol match between the boys of San Antonio Government School and the older boys of the village. The match came down to a tie, into overtime, a tie AGAIN, and then penalty kicks. First time cooking fish = success! We were then taught how to make rice the Belizean way with coconut milk by Mrs. Olga. And the girls made the garlic bread and sautéed the green peppers and squash! Some school days are hard. A boy falls to the ground ill and is rushed to the hospital. Two other boys get in a fight so bad the police have to be involved. We weren't present for either of those situations, but what we were present for is far greater. After some of us chatted with Maestro Gonzales, to be filled in on the crazy day, we turn around to see this. Israel pouring forgiveness, grace, love, and truth about eternity into the hearts and minds of these children. THIS is his passion; for the children to know God better than ever before and to know they are loved!
