How a caterpillar climbs. From the film Microcosmos.
Snippy the horse, mutilated in 1967 in Alamosa, CO.
Pre summit goodness. Greg soaks in the Sierra Nevada mountains!
One of my most favorite moments in Florida was the morning I got up to meditate by the ocean at sunrise. After watching the sun for almost an hour, I made this collage of broken shells. Can you see the sunrise? I think it took me nearly an hour. But it felt totally worth it. #collage #sunrise #shells #florida #livefolk

Accidentally paused my editing on this frame. #hyao In this scene Roma is trying to convince OD to get in the water as the sun is setting.

“In this world, there are things you can only do alone, and things you can only do with somebody else. It’s important to combine the two in just the right amount.”

Who are we? Where are we going? And, at this moment, how can we express ourselves?—our intention is to create a modern cultural manifesto. For a short time, the most interesting place in the country will be a moving target.

Doug Aitken's latest project is a mobile museum that will go from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific this September.
THIS IS INCREDIBLE.

A Response to "Huh?" From Sarah
What if we use our communications with people to create the art?
Or what if part of the project is documenting how we connect?
Like the man who had strangers draw him directions to make a map of manhattan.
Could we ask strangers for directions to make a map of the world?
Or to make a “map” of specific human emotions.
What does suffering look like around the world, without language?
What about love?

KB - You wrote this note for me one day when I was late for Media-Tech. Mr. Adams may not have found it as amusing as I did, but I've kept it for years. It was written on the back of a November 13, 2006 permission slip for a meet in Strasberg.
I usually keep this pinned above my desk.
