this dragon appeared on the front page and I had to triple-take what the FUCK was going on here

So @vuelie did what I couldn’t do for years, and convinced Birger to let me make a dragon for Anna. ;3

His name is Leonidas, because that was one of the few historical names Anna remembered, and it has “leo” in it and the dragon resembles a lion. I figured out how he can fit into Birger’s story, so this little guy will appear in there before too long, hehehe. But needless to say, Birger trusts him, and Anna adores him.

Leonidas’s breed is also a Russia roaming one, but more southern than the frost dragons that live in the tundra-like northern coasts. Nicknamed Poz’zver by the Russians—meaning ‘fire beast’—they typically stick to the forests and mountains, and emerge more in the later hours than when the sun is up. Which works in a land where the sun doesn’t come out much, really.
