I didnt know how to respond like, at all, so I just pointed at the duck and said “bird”

- “crewmate” is a species designation, not a job. “imposter”, however, is not a species designation, and imposters are referred to simply as “aliens” throughout the series.

- crewmates appear to be able to survive an unknown amount of time without oxygen, but they do suffer hypoxia after a certain period with human-like symptoms.

- crewmates have one bone down the center of their body and no other visible bones, muscles, or organs. we kind of already knew this but i thought it was fun to fully canonize it!

- imposter crewmates have no bone because the aliens use the bodies as meat puppets, and assumedly the bone gets in the way. this is also what allows imposters to move through the vents, much like an octopus can squeeze through tight spaces.

I think that the imposters didn’t replace the crewmates but rather possessed them like in The Thing (which is the main source of inspiration for amogus)

In The Thing, the alien entity basically slowly replaces every cell in their host’s body until all thats left is their brain and then takes over their brain when it’s time to attack or defend or any other extreme reaction that requires complete control

So my theory is that the same thing happened to Orange and Green. They were taken over in the very first episode thanks to the incident in the Ore+ storage room:

Obviously they are dead bodies being puppeted by the imposter in the same way Green does to the corpses in the last episode. However, they’re also incredibly consistent in personality even post-reveal

When Orange is found out they still act like Orange, and Green never once says a swear word until that very last scene with them in the storage room (when they were holding Purple upside down and insulting Orange). By that point I’d say Green was completely taken over

But I’d also say both were completely taken over from the start, just like in a normal game of amogus where you know your role from the beginning and do your thing. I just also think the imposters were still genuine to their corpse bodies post-possession

What I am trying to say here is that Green DEFINITELY kissed those worms and also genuinely hated cleaning up the corpses
